During our persuasive writing unit we organised a fundraiser to raise money for Medic Malawi, an aid organisation based in Malawi. We rented out the computers in the ICT room over the break period for three consecutive days. We made posters to advertise the event. We also created leaflets with partners and then went to the Key Stage Two classes to perform radio advertisements. We charged $1 to get in and $2 to book a seat. We raised more than expected thanks to Daniel for his idea of the extra one dollar charge to book a computer. In return we gave him a free computer session.
Raising money for Malawi was great fun and we made $152 and had loads of fun looking at the satisfied children play games. All thanks to Mr Paul for installing the games for us and supporting our activity,
We were all really happy because we had raised money for Malawi.
