Who are we?
We are a group of ISB parents who meet once a month to discuss easy ways for our families to make positive differences to our environment
What do we do?
To date we have:
-
- sourced an environmentally friendly all purpose household cleaner;
- sourced tropical composters (no rats, no snakes);
- committed to using re-usable supermarket bags;
- committed to recycling plastics, papers and cans;
- started experimenting with gowing organic vegetables and fruits;
- put bricks in our toilet cisterns to save water;
- explored ways for the whole family to get involved in green activities (using motivational star charts etc);
- investigated carbon offsetting possibilities (including donating to the ISB Million Trees Project).
What can you do?
As well as incorporating green initiatives in your home you could come and join us or start your own Green Family Group.Contacts :
