CAS Activities
Year 7 students participated in a variety of activities which taught them the importance of team work to achieve a winning solution. The activities on the day included a ‘trash to panache’ fashion show, a ‘Martian Landscape’ obstacle course and team building through design and technology. It was required that the students use their patience and cooperation to succeed in several of the activities. As well as having an enjoyable time, the students really learnt the importance of team work to achieve a winning solution.

Year 8 - CAS day
As part of the PSE curriculum, the year 8 students learn about disability and its effects on the individual, to fully prepare them for their visit to Pusat Bahagia, where the Year 8 students spent the day.
Through the course, they become familiar with the different aspects of some specific disabilities, such as blindness, down syndrome and cerebral pausy. They learn to understand the difficulties caused by these disabilities and the needs of those who are disabled and the support available..
We want the students to appreciate that people with disabilites experience the same feelings as everyone else. By recongising the barriers society puts between ourselves and people with disabilities, we are able to help the students dispel any fears or negative feelings they may have.
Seeing people with disablities as normal people with a need for a normal life is one of the main aims of visiting Pusat Bahagia. The students plan lessons to develop open and sensitive ways of relating to people with disabilities.
They also give up time as part of their service project to paint murals on the walls, thereby improving the surroundings for these people.
The third aspect of this project involves planting trees and flower pots to enhance the exterior of the school. In this way, the students involve themselves in all three components of the CAS programme; Creativity through the painting, Action through the tree planting and Service through delivering the lessons.

IB Year 12 (Class of 2012) Induction Day
“Trash to Panache” was the theme of the Year 12 students of the Class of 2012. They engaged in team building activities where the students were divided into team and worked together to design and make ‘fashionable and trendy’ outfits only out of trash and recycled materials. The students that were chosen by each team to be the ‘model’ strutted their stuff and showed off their outfits in front of ‘the judges’.
