WELCOME TO ISB CAS

Updated by Administrator

Creativity, Action and Service has now become an integral part of the ISB ethos in Secondary, participation in the programme is essential at IB level and strongly encouraged in Years 7 to 11.

CAS extends students by developing a spirit of open-mindedness, lifelong learning, discovery and self-reliance. It inspires a sense of responsibility towards all members of the community. Furthermore, it encourages the development of attitudes and trails that will be respected by others, such as determination and commitment, initiative and empathy

The students can experience this through the Scheduled CAS programme that is provided at lunch time and after school, as well as through planned extended CAS projects.

Key characteristics of ISB CAS

1. Creates an opportunity for students to share benefits and experiences with one another and the community.

2. Students can broaden their awareness of different cultures as well as the implications on their own personal  development.

3. Stimulates emotional growth between students and the community members they interact with.

4. Better equips students to become a model citizen in society.

5. Helps students to find more balance and harmony between the rigors of academic life and extra-curricular activities.

6. CAS opportunities will develop key attributes for students to become: inquires, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective.
